Accessibility.
A visitor guide designed to be usable by as many people as possible.
Our accessibility approach
This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AAA, the highest level. Work toward that target includes stronger text contrast, larger controls and options for easier reading. Features include keyboard-accessible navigation, a skip link, visible focus indicators, headings that follow a clear order, descriptive image text and layouts that adapt to smaller screens and enlarged text.
The photo viewer supports the keyboard: Tab moves between its controls and Escape closes it. Closing the viewer returns focus to the photo that opened it. The site respects reduced-motion preferences and does not autoplay audio or video.
Report an access barrier
Email support@belltowerdigital.com with the page address, the problem you encountered and, if useful, your browser or assistive technology. You do not need to share personal or medical information.
External websites and park facilities
Links to external websites have an arrow-in-a-box symbol and an “external website” label for screen readers. Standard links open in the same tab. Links in the optional community feed announce when they open a new tab. No confirmation pop-up is required to follow a link.
Linked city documents, social platforms and other third-party websites are maintained by their respective owners. Their accessibility can differ from this website.
For physical access at the park, see our parking and park access guide. It covers what to confirm about parking, routes, restrooms and equipment, with city staff contacts.
Review status and scope
The event calendar includes month navigation and a complete text agenda. The agenda works without JavaScript and remains available on small screens. Calendar subscriptions are optional. This page was added after the baseline report; full manual screen-reader testing remains outstanding.
The events page and holiday media were added after the baseline report. Event details are available as text; calendar downloads are optional. The YouTube player loads only when selected and does not autoplay. A written description and original-source links remain available. The third-party video’s captions and audio description have not been verified, and it has not been assessed for full AAA conformance.
The optional community feed loads posts supplied by Curator after you choose to open it. Plain links to selected posts remain available. The third-party feed is outside the baseline report and has not been verified for full WCAG 2.2 AAA conformance.
The interactive park map includes a text directory, keyboard-operable selection, zoom and pan controls. Each small map marker has a larger equivalent button in the directory. This page was added after the baseline accessibility report; manual screen-reader testing of the map remains outstanding.
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AAA. Full AAA conformance has not been verified. We do not display a W3C conformance logo or claim W3C approval. W3C explains how conformance logos may be used. (external website)
The review covers this guide’s home, Explore, Photos, Plan your visit, Sources, Accessibility and error pages. It includes automated tests, keyboard checks, text enlargement and narrow-screen checks. A complete manual review, including screen-reader use and reading-level checks, is still needed before making a full AAA claim.
Review every requirement
Our dated report covers all 86 active WCAG 2.2 criteria, with implementation evidence, review status and next steps. It is not a certificate of conformance.

Listen to the guide
Select the speaker icon in the top navigation to show the listening controls. Select it again to hide them; hiding the controls does not stop audio. Choose Listen to this page in the opened row, or Listen to this event beside an event listing. Audio starts only when you ask. Use Pause, Resume, Stop and the reading-speed menu, or press Escape to stop. Resuming or changing voice or speed may repeat a short passage.
The reader speaks visible page text, including event dates, weather timestamps and source notes. Open any collapsed details before starting if you want them included. Images, videos and external feeds are not narrated. Reading pauses when you leave the tab and stops if the text changes; choose Listen again for the updated version.
Voices and availability depend on your browser and device. Use the Voice menu to choose among available English voices. Automatic prefers Google UK English Male when available, with other English voices as fallbacks. Online voices may send page text to your browser’s voice provider; choose an On-device voice for local speech. No microphone or account is needed. Your own screen reader remains available for navigation and descriptions. This optional reading feature does not establish full WCAG conformance and was added after the baseline report.
Reading and display options
Choose more space between paragraphs or black-and-white colors below. You can also use your browser’s text size, zoom and color settings. These choices are saved only on this device.
